How do I enrol my whole office in NSW CPD?

A practical guide for NSW Licensees in Charge booking whole-office CPD — map pathways first, respect interactive caps, then request a corporate enrolment.

Yes — a Licensee in Charge (or agency administrator) can enrol the whole office for NSW CPD in one coordinated booking, then assign seats so each Class 1 or Class 2 licence holder completes the compulsory topics for their own licence category and area of practice.

Fair Trading does not publish a separate “office enrolment” rule. What it does require is clear: every licence and certificate holder must complete the CPD that applies to them for the 2026–2027 CPD year (1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027), compulsory topics must come from an approved provider in an interactive format with assessment, and Licensees-in-charge must have all CPD training detailed in the agency training plan.

This guide is for principals who want to buy and assign seats for a team — not rewrite the training-plan document, not log one person’s hours, and not invent a new compliance pathway. It summarises published Fair Trading rules (last updated 9 July 2026 at the time of writing). It is not legal advice.

What “whole-office enrolment” actually means

Treat office enrolment as three linked jobs:

  1. Buy the right interactive packages (or seats) for the pathways your staff actually work in
  2. Assign each person to the sessions that match their compulsory topics and hours
  3. Record completions on the agency training plan, while each agent keeps their own evidence

That is different from:

  • building the Fair Trading training plan document
  • day-to-day LIC supervision habits that keep the plan current
  • an individual CPD hour log

Those articles still matter after the booking. The buying question comes first when you want the office booked together.

Step 1 — Map the roster before you request seats

Do not start with a single headcount. Start with a pathway map for every employed property and stock agent you supervise:

ColumnWhy it matters
Name and licence / certificate numberWho needs a seat
Licence category (Real Estate, Stock and Station, and/or Strata)Dual categories usually need more than one pathway’s topics
Area(s) of practice they actually work inReal Estate has multiple areas; only the areas they work in drive compulsory topics
Class 1 or Class 2Class 1 holders also have accredited-forum (and in relevant areas AUSTRAC AML) extras that Fair Trading is still detailing
Preferred delivery (face-to-face / interactive webinar) and datesCaps and calendars drive how many sessions you need

Published pathway examples for 2026–27 include 7 hours / 4 topics for residential real estate salespeople and for buyers agents (with different topic lists). Mixed offices often need more than one package. For the full hours and topic tables, see our 2026–2027 NSW CPD requirements overview.

Watch-outs before you lock numbers

  • Residential property managers: Fair Trading is still finalising 2026–27 topics and hours (including Domestic Violence reforms). Do not assume a sales package covers PM staff.
  • Assistant agents: Certificate of registration holders follow Certificate IV units toward a Class 2 qualification — not the same interactive compulsory-topic structure as licensed staff. Keep that pathway separate on the roster.
  • Shared topics: Where mandatory topics are shared across areas or dual categories, agents are not required to repeat the same topic if all required learning outcomes are met — but unique topics still add seats or hours.

Step 2 — Respect interactive attendee caps when you book the room

Compulsory topics must be delivered by an approved provider in an interactive training environment:

  • Face-to-face — maximum 40 attendees
  • Interactive webinar — maximum 25 attendees

They must also include an assessment activity. Self-paced modules alone are not listed as meeting the interactive environment for compulsory topics.

So “enrol the whole office” rarely means one unlimited webinar link. A 30-person sales team usually needs two webinar cohorts (or a face-to-face sitting within the 40-person cap), not a single oversized session. Build that into your corporate request before dates fill.

If you are weighing whether one intake can clear a pathway in a short sitting, see Can I finish NSW CPD in a single two-day intake?.

Step 3 — What to send in a corporate / bulk booking request

When you contact EDUTIVE for a corporate or bulk agency booking, include:

  • Headcount by pathway (for example 8 residential salespeople, 3 buyers agents) — not only a total
  • Class 1 vs Class 2 split, and any dual-licence or multi-area staff
  • Preferred dates and delivery format (face-to-face or interactive webinar)
  • Whether mid-year hires need seats later in the same CPD year
  • Billing preference — EDUTIVE can issue tax invoices for bank transfer on bulk agency bookings

Browse published packages on the CPD Course catalogue so you know which pathways EDUTIVE currently offers. At the time of writing, interactive packages are published for residential salespeople and buyers agents — do not assume a property-manager or commercial package exists until it is listed.

Step 4 — After seats are assigned: plan and personal records still apply

Buying seats does not replace Fair Trading’s published LIC duties:

  • All agencies licensed under the Property and Stock Agents Act 2002 need an annual training plan
  • Nominated LICs develop, implement, review, and update it each year
  • The plan aligns to each CPD year (12 months from 1 July)
  • Fair Trading’s CPD page states that Licensees-in-charge must have all CPD training detailed in the training plan for the agency

Use Fair Trading’s training plan guide and template as a minimum guideline. Each agent also keeps their own CPD records (Class 1 and Class 2: 3 years; certificate of registration holders: 4 years).

EDUTIVE’s CPD Tracker can help agencies manage team invites and training-plan exports when you enrol in a current CPD year course — useful after the corporate booking, not a substitute for pathway-correct interactive delivery.

Soft next step for principals

If you want the office booked together before calendars tighten, start with a roster map and a corporate booking request. Soft CTA only: confirm pathway packages on /cpd-course, then ask support for bulk seats and invoicing. October 2026 EDUTIVE interactive intake dates (Monday 12 – Tuesday 13 October 2026, AEST) are one option for agencies that prefer a single two-day block — check capacity against the attendee caps above.

FAQ

Can one person enrol the whole NSW agency for CPD?

Yes in practice. A Licensee in Charge or agency administrator can arrange corporate or bulk seats with an approved provider, then assign staff to the right pathway packages. Each licence or certificate holder still completes the compulsory topics for their own pathway.

Do whole-office bookings ignore Fair Trading’s interactive attendee caps?

No. Compulsory topics must be delivered face-to-face (maximum 40 attendees) or as an interactive webinar (maximum 25 attendees). Larger teams usually need more than one session, not one oversized room.

Is a bulk enrolment the same as the agency training plan?

No. Buying seats books delivery. Fair Trading still requires Licensees-in-charge to detail all CPD training in the agency’s annual training plan for the CPD year (1 July to 30 June).

What if our office mixes residential sales and buyers agents?

Map each person to their licence category and area of practice before you book. Shared mandatory topics do not need to be repeated when all learning outcomes are met, but unique topics still apply — so mixed teams often need more than one package.

How do I start a corporate CPD booking with EDUTIVE?

Use the contact page to request a corporate or bulk agency booking. Include headcount by pathway, preferred dates, and whether you need face-to-face or interactive webinar delivery. Tax invoices for bank transfer are available for bulk agency bookings.
