How to Check NSW Fair Trading Approved CPD Providers

Compulsory NSW CPD must come from Fair Trading–approved providers. Here’s how to find the official list, read it, and book with confidence.

Before you book compulsory NSW CPD, check who is allowed to deliver it. Fair Trading publishes a list of approved providers on the official Continuing Professional Development requirements page (last updated 9 July 2026). For the 2026–27 CPD year (1 July 2026 – 30 June 2027), only providers on that list may deliver compulsory learning topics.

Compulsory topics must also be interactive — face-to-face (maximum 40 attendees) or interactive webinar (maximum 25 attendees) — and must include an assessment. Being on the list does not make a self-paced download count.

Hours and topics by pathway are on the NSW CPD requirements guide. This page is how to verify the provider list before you enrol.

Where to find the list

Open Fair Trading’s CPD requirements page and scroll to List of approved providers. That is the source of truth for the current CPD year.

A training company’s own website is not enough on its own. If a calendar says “approved,” still search for the legal or trading name on Fair Trading before you pay.

Fair Trading also has an Information for approved providers page about who can become a provider. For booking decisions, you still check the published list on the requirements page.

How to read the list for 2026–27

The published heading is approved providers for the 2026–27 CPD year. Organisations approved by the Strata and Property Services Commissioner may deliver compulsory learning topics between 1 July 2026 and 30 June 2027 under the Property and Stock Agents Act 2002. Do not rely on a screenshot from last year.

Fair Trading groups the list into two parts:

  • Industry associations — organisations recognised as an industry association for approved-provider purposes
  • Organisations approved by the Strata and Property Services Commissioner — organisations approved to deliver compulsory learning topics for 2026–27

Many entries show a website, email, and phone number. Use Fair Trading’s live page rather than copying a full directory from somewhere else. Edutive Pty Ltd is on the Commissioner-approved group (website edutive.com.au) — confirm on Fair Trading before you book.

Fair Trading also notes that more providers can seek approval throughout the CPD year, so re-check the live list if you booked months ago or a new provider appears in your inbox.

What “approved” still means

Compulsory topics must be delivered by a provider approved by the Strata and Property Services Commissioner. That answers who can teach the compulsory learning.

It does not answer what your pathway needs. Match your licence category and area(s) of practice on the requirements guide. For Residential property managers, Fair Trading says some topic details are still being finalised and will be published separately — check the live notes for your pathway rather than guessing hours or topics.

Approved also does not mean any online format is fine. Fair Trading requires an interactive environment (face-to-face max 40, or interactive webinar max 25) plus an assessment. For webinar versus self-paced questions, see can I complete NSW real estate CPD online? and the interactive CPD guide.

Checklist before you book

  1. Year — you are looking at the 2026–27 list (1 July 2026 – 30 June 2027).
  2. Name on the live list — search Fair Trading for the legal or trading name.
  3. Pathway — the course matches your licence category and areas of practice (requirements overview).
  4. Format — interactive face-to-face or interactive webinar with assessment.
  5. Records — keep your own completion evidence (Fair Trading: Class 1 and Class 2 licence holders 3 years; certificate holders 4 years).
  6. Class 1 extras — if accredited forum or AUSTRAC AML applies to you, check Fair Trading’s live Class 1 notes for delivery detail.
  7. If you book with EDUTIVE — salesperson and buyers agent packages from $349 on the live hub; next published intake Monday 12 – Tuesday 13 October 2026 is a booking window only. The year still ends 30 June 2027.
